Unknown assailants set fire to the vehicle of a prominent tribal sheikh early Wednesday in one of the districts of Hajjah Governorate in northwestern Yemen. Local sources reported that the perpetrators targeted the car belonging to Sheikh Zaid Ahmed Al-Hashi, a former director of the Aflah Al-Sham district, in the Al-Jabr Al-Sharqi area of Al-Mafatih district. Residents of the area have called upon security agencies to swiftly apprehend the culprits and bring them to justice. This incident occurs amidst a concerning trend of vehicle burnings reported across various governorates under Houthi militia control in recent months and years. Such acts are viewed as a disturbing phenomenon exacerbating the pervasive state of insecurity in the country. |
