Reports indicate that the United States has outlined five principal conditions for reaching an agreement with Tehran, as indirect negotiations between the two nations continue following months of military escalation and regional tension.

According to Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency, which cited informed sources, Washington has demanded that only one Iranian nuclear facility be allowed to operate. This demand is reportedly one of the most significant conditions presented for any potential accord with Iran.

The American stipulations also include refusing to pay any war-related reparations, transferring approximately 400 kilograms of Iranian uranium to the United States, and maintaining a freeze on 25 percent of Iran's assets. Furthermore, the US reportedly insists on linking the cessation of military operations on various fronts to the outcomes of the ongoing negotiations.

In response, Iran has stated its core demands encompass a ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon, the lifting of American sanctions, the full release of frozen Iranian assets, and the receipt of compensation for war-inflicted damages. Additionally, Iran seeks recognition of its asserted sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

A ceasefire, brokered by Pakistan, initially took effect on April 8th. However, subsequent talks hosted in Islamabad failed to achieve a lasting agreement. U.S. President Donald Trump later announced an indefinite extension of the truce.
