A Yemeni-American citizen was killed in a armed robbery in New York City on Monday, marking the second such incident in a week and raising the total number of Yemeni victims in the United States this year to four. Sources in the United States identified the deceased as Abdulrahman Qassem Al-Haddad, originally from the Abyan Governorate. He was reportedly killed during an attack on his place of business by armed assailants, just days after returning from a family visit to Yemen. This incident follows the killing of another young Yemeni-American, Abdullah Sadiq Al-Turb, in Tennessee on April 21. Al-Turb was fatally shot following a dispute that arose after he attended a family gathering. Reports indicate that the altercation in Tennessee escalated into an armed assault, resulting in his death outside the neighborhood where he was present. |
