Yemen's Daham Tribes Mobilize in Al Jawf After Sheikh's Abduction

Daham tribes in Yemen's Al Jawf governorate have declared tribal mobilization and begun gathering in the Al Yatma region following the abduction of Sheikh Hamad bin Rashid bin Fedgham Al Hazmi, a prominent figure among the Dhu Hussein tribe, by Houthi militias.

Tribal sources reported that the Dhu Hussein tribe called for widespread tribal mobilization after an armed Houthi militia force kidnapped Sheikh bin Fedgham from his home in Al Jawf and took him to an undisclosed location. This incident has sparked significant tribal anger.

According to the sources, the operation was led by Houthi leader Mohsen bin Qa'sham Al Sharif. The armed force raided the Sheikh's residence in what has been described as a provocative act, which the tribes consider a flagrant violation of tribal customs and traditions.

The incident has resulted in a general call to arms among the Daham tribes, particularly the Dhu Hussein and Dhu Mohammed clans. These groups have started assembling in the Al Yatma area to escalate pressure for the immediate release of the kidnapped Sheikh, issuing stern warnings about the consequences of his continued detention.
