Two government soldiers were killed and three others wounded on Saturday during clashes following an attack by Houthi militants in the Al-Salo front, southeast of Taiz Governorate. Military sources explained that the confrontations erupted when Houthi fighters attempted to infiltrate military positions belonging to the government forces. This led to direct engagements resulting in the deaths of soldiers Mohammed Al-Yousifi and Abdulhamid Al-Salawi. The sources further stated that government forces successfully repelled the assault, forcing the attackers to retreat after inflicting casualties and equipment losses on them. The wounded soldiers were transported for medical treatment. |
