Houthi Artillery Strike Injures Civilian in Displaced Persons Camp South of Hodeidah

A civilian sustained injuries on Sunday after Houthi militia artillery fire targeted a camp housing displaced persons in the Al-Haima area, located within the Al-Tuheita district, south of Yemen's Hodeidah Governorate.

Local sources reported that the militia discharged three mortar shells directly onto the camp, resulting in injuries to citizen Abdulmajeed Abdullah Ali Nahari. He suffered shrapnel wounds to the abdomen and lower chest area and was subsequently transferred to the Al-Khokha field hospital for medical treatment.

The sources further indicated that the projectiles landed on the outskirts of the camp, which is densely populated with displaced families, causing widespread panic and fear among the residents, particularly women and children.

This incident constitutes another breach in the ongoing series of violations directed against civilians and displacement sites along the western coast region.
