Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh, Deputy Chairman of the General People's Congress (GPC), dispatched a formal cable of condolence and sympathy to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said of the Sultanate of Oman following the death of His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said.

The message extended profound sorrow to His Majesty, the esteemed Al Said family, and the brotherly Omani people over the passing of the late Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, who concluded a tenure marked by dedicated service and significant contributions to the consolidation of the state and the advancement of Oman's blessed renaissance.

In expressing sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy on this solemn occasion, Saleh acknowledged the deceased's recognized national roles and his efforts in strengthening the historic fraternal ties between the Sultanate of Oman and Yemen. These deep-rooted relations, the cable noted, are founded upon good neighborliness, fraternal bonds, shared history, and common destiny between the two brotherly nations.

The GPC Deputy Chairman concluded by invoking divine mercy upon the departed, praying that God grant him eternal rest in paradise, and bestow patience and solace upon His Majesty, the Al Said family, and the Omani populace. He also prayed for the perpetuation of security, stability, and progress for the Sultanate of Oman.
