The UAE Ministry of Defense confirmed on Tuesday that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed eight out of nine ballistic missiles launched toward the nation, with the remaining missile falling harmlessly into the sea without causing damage. The Ministry further reported that air defenses engaged 35 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), successfully intercepting 26, while nine drones subsequently crashed within the country's territory. Detailing the cumulative impact of the Iranian aggressions, the Ministry stated that a total of 262 ballistic missiles have been tracked since the attacks commenced. Of these, 241 were destroyed by air defenses, 19 landed in the sea, and two impacted sovereign territory. During the same period, 1,475 Iranian drones were monitored, with 1,385 intercepted and 90 crashing domestically. Additionally, eight cruise missiles were detected and neutralized. The Ministry of Defense confirmed that the attacks resulted in six fatalities, comprising individuals of Emirati, Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationalities, alongside 122 injuries ranging from minor to moderate, affecting personnel from various nations. The UAE Armed Forces affirmed that they remain at "the highest levels of readiness to deal with any threats targeting the nation's security," emphasizing their commitment to implementing necessary measures to safeguard national sovereignty and ensure the stability and security of the country. |
