Massive Fire Engulfs Shops in Aden's Al-Mansoura District, Causing Substantial Material Losses

A massive fire erupted late Monday evening in a commercial center in the Al-Mansoura district of Aden, Yemen’s temporary capital, resulting in significant material damage, though no human casualties were reported.

Local sources indicated that the blaze began inside a shop within the Al-Haram Commercial Center, situated near the Cairo Roundabout in Al-Mansoura. The flames spread rapidly to several adjacent stores due to the narrow spaces separating the commercial units.

The intensity of the fire generated thick smoke, causing panic among shoppers and shop owners who quickly evacuated the premises. Efforts to contain the spread were initiated using rudimentary methods while Civil Defense teams experienced delays in reaching the location.

The incident confirmed that there were no fatalities; however, the material damages sustained by the contents of multiple commercial establishments were described as extensive.
