Government forces have achieved new battlefield advances in the Al-Madaribah front in Lahj Governorate, following their capture of several strategic hills and positions after intense clashes with Houthi militia. Field sources indicated that elements of the Second Giants Brigade, under the command of Major General Hamdi Shukri Al-Subaihi, launched an offensive against militia positions. During this operation, they successfully secured key strategic sites and captured a number of Houthi fighters. The sources further reported that the confrontations resulted in the retreat and flight of militia elements from their positions, leaving behind weapons and military equipment on the battlefield. This advancement holds significant military importance due to the Al-Madaribah front's proximity to Taiz Governorate. Control over its strategic positions is expected to bolster the deployment of government forces and impede Houthi movements and supply lines between the two governorates. |
