The Houthi militia has resumed its policy of blocking vital routes and employing superficial initiatives for media and tactical purposes, a pattern evident in their handling of major roads and humanitarian corridors across Yemen.

The Houthi militia has re-imposed a blockade on the crucial "Al-Saha-Kurba" road in the southern province of Taiz, mere hours after a symbolic, limited passage was permitted for vehicles stranded for days. Local sources confirmed that the temporary opening coincided with the mobilization of militia elements and intensified field filming operations, aimed at producing media footage to suggest the road's reopening. The route was subsequently sealed entirely once the documentation and filming concluded.

The humanitarian and economic repercussions of this closure extend beyond the residents of Taiz city. They significantly impact the districts of Al-Hujariyah, Muqbanah, Jabal Habashi, and Al-Misrakh. The continued obstruction of this artery disrupts daily civilian movement, impedes the delivery of essential supplies, goods, and foodstuffs. Furthermore, it forces truck drivers to take arduous alternative routes, escalating transportation costs and exacerbating the financial burdens on families.

This on-the-ground behavior reflects the ongoing use of major roads and access points as leverage and a tactical-military maneuver, rather than the adoption of genuine measures to lift restrictions on civilian movement and facilitate the transit of goods and services.
