Yemeni Forces Recapture Strategic Sites in Lahj, Repel Houthi Attacks

Yemeni armed forces have announced the recapture of vital sites in the Red Reservoir area of the Al-Nusaira front in Al-Maqaterah district, north of Lahj Governorate, following intense battles that led to the expulsion of Iran-backed Houthi militias.

The Yemeni Armed Forces' Media Center confirmed that army artillery precisely targeted gatherings and military equipment belonging to the militias in the Al-Sakheer positions. This occurred concurrently with fierce field confrontations erupting in the areas of Muiq and Anan in the Al-Maqaterah front, amidst ongoing military tension in the region.

In a related development, government forces successfully thwarted a large-scale offensive launched by the Houthi militias, who had deployed military reinforcements, including vehicles and a tank, towards the Al-Karba and Haijat Al-Abd line. The attacking forces were compelled to retreat and halt in the Al-Sharjah area after engagements lasting many hours, preventing any field advances by the militias.

Furthermore, the armed forces thwarted simultaneous attacks carried out by the Houthi militias in the vicinity of Mounts Al-Karb and Al-Mimshash in the Al-Abous front, Haifan district. Military sources reported that the forces engaged in heroic confrontations, inflicting heavy losses in lives and military equipment on the militias.
