A Houthi militia attack targeted a popular market in the Al-Aqrosh area of Taiz Governorate, southwestern Yemen, resulting in 25 civilian casualties, including fatalities and injuries. A local source reported that the Houthi shelling struck the Al-Najd popular market in the village of Al-Makhaf in the Al-Aqrosh region. The attack claimed 25 civilian lives and left others wounded, with children among the victims. The Houthi militia continues its pattern of targeting popular markets, civilian infrastructure, residential homes, and health facilities through artillery shelling, missile strikes, and drone attacks. These actions consistently lead to civilian casualties, including women and children, and cause extensive damage to private and public property. This ongoing violence occurs amidst what is described as international silence and a lack of robust global responses commensurate with the continuous violations against civilians. |
