Ibb Reports 40 Fatalities from Jabal​​ah in Houthi Ranks Since Mid-September

Exclusive sources in Ibb Governorate have informed Akhbar Agency that approximately 40 individuals from the Jabal​​ah district have been killed fighting within Houthi ranks between the beginning of September and the current month of October. A significant number of these casualties are reportedly school students and young men who were misled and deployed to the front lines.

The sources indicated that the militia recently held funeral services for some of the deceased. They noted that the Houthi group intentionally avoids conducting mass funerals, seemingly to mitigate the perceived impact of heavy losses on public morale and the shock it might cause among families and relatives.

According to the reports, several families and guardians have formally requested the Houthi militia to disclose the fate of their sons whose whereabouts have become unknown. In response, the militia has reportedly only communicated that their sons are still actively engaged on the battlefronts.

Further information from individuals on the front lines has allegedly informed the families of some missing individuals that their sons were casualties during confrontations. However, the militia, as per the sources, continues to withhold the bodies of the deceased and maintains the narrative to their families that they are still alive on the front lines.

These revelations have heightened anxieties among the families of the missing, particularly concerning the lack of clear information regarding their sons' locations and the actual circumstances they faced. This situation has fueled demands for transparency and the disclosure of their true fate to their grieving families.
