Brigadier General Abdulrahman Al-Lahji, Chief of Staff of the National Shield Forces, has issued a directive for the humane treatment of prisoners, emphasizing adherence to religious, ethical, and legal guidelines. In a recorded audio message addressed to parents in Houthi-controlled territories, Al-Lahji urged them to safeguard their children and refrain from sending them to the frontlines.

Al-Lahji cautioned against exploiting the needs of young people or misleading them with slogans. He asserted that the Houthi militia "attacks and fights Yemenis, not Israel."

He further stated that the children of these regions "deserve education and work, and Yemen needs them alive to contribute to its reconstruction."

This address comes amidst ongoing reports of military developments, including the National Shield Forces' efforts to secure prisoners and the broader conflict landscape in Yemen.
