The Houthi militia has intensified its crackdown on civilians in Al-Mokha and its surrounding areas in western Taiz province, carrying out raids and abductions targeting both civilian and military residences over the past two days.

Exclusive sources reported that militia elements stormed several homes within and around Al-Mokha city. The most recent incident involved the home of citizen Saeed Suleiman Abadi in the Al-Mughnini neighborhood, which was raided on Sunday evening.

The sources further indicated that the raids extended to the homes of several civilians in the Az-Zuhari district. Militia members reportedly abducted some individuals, taking them to unknown locations, raising significant concerns about their fate.

According to the sources, female elements affiliated with the Houthi militia participated in the raids and searches of multiple homes as part of a security campaign targeting civilians and military personnel in the city and its rural areas.

These actions are consistent with a series of violations perpetrated by the Houthi militia against the residents of Al-Mokha since their seizure of the city last month. Reports from human rights organizations and official bodies have documented killings, extrajudicial executions, abductions, property looting, and the imposition of illegal taxes.

The ongoing raids and abductions are fueling growing apprehension among Al-Mokha's residents as the Houthi militia tightens its security grip and pursues civilians and military personnel. Information regarding the whereabouts of the abducted individuals or any charges against them remains scarce.
