Yemeni government forces announced on Tuesday a significant battlefield advance in the Jarad front, located south of Taiz Governorate. The forces reportedly seized strategic and elevated positions overlooking the Al-Waze'iyah district, simultaneously capturing several Houthi militia fighters during the engagements. According to the military, units from the 7th Mountain Infantry Brigade, part of the Tor Al-Baha axis, supported by popular resistance forces, achieved this progress in the Jarad front. The statement confirmed that a number of Houthi fighters were taken prisoner during the clashes. The Jarad front is situated in a strategic area east of Al-Waze'iyah district and west of Al-Shamaytitin district in Taiz Governorate. Its location makes it one of the critical fronts in the western part of the governorate. |
