Suspects Arrested in Al-Abar Raid Linked to Homeland Shield Commander Assassination

Security forces in Yemen's Al-Abar district, Hadramaut Governorate, have conducted a raid and surrounded the home of Sheikh Ali bin Haftan Al-Sae'ari, apprehending several suspects believed to be involved in the assassination of Colonel Osama Al-Radfani, commander of the Fourth Brigade of the Homeland Shield forces, and his companions.

The operation was initiated following intelligence indicating the presence of individuals connected to the fatal incident. A significant security force participated in the operation, successfully detaining multiple wanted individuals who were inside the residence.

Initial investigations directly link the arrested individuals to the assassination of Colonel Al-Radfani, which occurred in the Al-Abar area on Saturday. The detainees are currently undergoing interrogation to clarify the circumstances and motives behind the crime, and to identify all involved parties.

The apprehended individuals will be referred to the competent judicial authorities for legal proceedings once investigations are complete. Colonel Al-Radfani, who commanded the Fourth Brigade of the Second Division within the Homeland Shield forces, was reportedly ambushed in the Al-Abar region, resulting in his death along with several of his escorts.
