Ambassador Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh, Deputy Chairman of the General People's Congress, has extended a message of condolence to the family of Major General Hussein Al-Muswari, mourning the loss of a distinguished figure in Yemen's revolutionary and military history.

The condolence message was addressed to Mohammed Hussein Al-Muswari and his brothers, and the wider Al-Muswari family, expressing deep sorrow over the passing of Major General Hussein Mohammed Abdulrahman Al-Muswari. The late general is remembered as one of the early September Revolution leaders and a Free Officer who contributed significantly to the 26th of September Revolution and the defense of the republican system, thereby consolidating the foundations of the modern Yemeni state.

Deputy Chairman Saleh conveyed profound grief, emphasizing that Yemen has lost a prominent national and military figure. He highlighted Al-Muswari's role as a revolutionary and republican stalwart who etched bright pages in the nation's history, demonstrating exemplary sacrifice in defending the revolution's principles, national sovereignty, and independence.

The message detailed Al-Muswari's active participation in the 26th of September Revolution and his subsequent contributions to defending the republic on various fronts. He is noted for his steadfastness and dedication in confronting challenges to the revolutionary process and for his role in defending the republican system during the seventy-day siege, embodying resilience and sacrifice alongside his comrades.

The late Major General held numerous high-ranking military, diplomatic, and administrative positions. His career included leadership roles such as Commander of the Kuhlan Afar region, Chief of Staff of the Revolution Brigade, Commander of the Revolution Brigade, Commander of Infantry, Deputy Chief of Staff for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Deputy Minister of Interior, and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. During these tenures, he contributed to rebuilding, developing, and enhancing the readiness of the military institution, while also participating in national reconciliation efforts and strengthening state institutions.

Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh affirmed that Al-Muswari was part of the founding generation of the modern Yemeni Armed Forces and a military expert who helped build the institution on national and professional foundations post-revolution. He played a notable role in training military leaders and instilling discipline and national loyalty. He was also among the state figures who contributed to building military and civil institutions, remaining loyal to the revolution's and republic's principles and committed to the rule of law, leaving behind a lasting national legacy.

The message also acknowledged Al-Muswari's contributions to diplomacy, administration, and economics. He served as the Ambassador of the Yemen Arab Republic to the Arab Republic of Egypt and as the Permanent Delegate to the League of Arab States, representing his country effectively. He later co-founded the Yemen Kuwait Bank and served as the Secretary of Sana'a for many years, followed by a term as a member of the Shura Council. Throughout his career, he was a model of competence and loyalty, earning widespread respect in national, political, and military circles.

Deputy Chairman Saleh concluded by praying for divine mercy for the deceased, asking for his entry into paradise, and for solace and strength to be granted to his family and loved ones.
