General Hussein Mohammed Al-Maswari, former Chief of General Staff and a prominent Yemeni military, political, and diplomatic figure, has died. His passing marks the end of a career spanning decades, during which he witnessed significant transformations in Yemen since the September 26, 1962 revolution.

Al-Maswari held several high-ranking positions within the state, including Chief of General Staff, Secretary of Sana'a Capital, and membership in the Shura Council. He also served as Yemen's ambassador within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representing the country in various nations.

Born on September 12, 1942, in Old Sana'a, General Hussein Mohammed Abdulrahman Al-Maswari's name became associated with pivotal moments in Yemeni history across military, administrative, and diplomatic spheres.

He documented aspects of his experiences in his book, "Pages from My Memories," which covered significant periods of Yemen's political and military history and offered testimonies of events he lived through during his service.
