Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi announced on state television that an immediate and permanent cessation of hostilities and military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, will commence tonight.

Gharibabadi stated that negotiations for a final agreement will take place over a 60-day period. He further indicated that Tehran will implement its own measures should any "violations occur by the other party."

This announcement comes amid broader geopolitical developments. Separately, U.S. President Donald Trump commented that the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened on Friday, contingent upon the signing of an agreement.

The news regarding the ceasefire follows reports of unrelated incidents, including a house collapse in Al-Jumaimah that resulted in the deaths of a mother and her four children, and the killing of a young man in the Jawf desert following an armed pursuit en route to Saudi Arabia. Additionally, reports mentioned Houthi-imposed tax enforcement in Hudaydah causing significant damage to qat quantities and substantial losses for vendors, and a nighttime protest in Aden near the Ma'ashiq Palace expressing discontent over deteriorating services.
