The Bani Matar tribe in Sana'a held a large protest in the Qa' Sahman-Matnah area, demanding the immediate release of tribal sheikh Amin Ali Mahdi Jum'an, who has been detained for four months.

The protest saw broad participation from tribal leaders, officials, intellectuals, and dignitaries from across the Bani Matar region. Participants raised a unified voice condemning the continued detention of Sheikh Jum'an without any legal justification.

Protesters expressed strong disapproval of the ongoing detention and enforced disappearance, noting that Sheikh Jum'an's family has been denied knowledge of his whereabouts, contact with him, or confirmation of his well-being.

The tribal gathering issued a direct appeal to the Houthi militia in Sana'a, calling for the immediate and unconditional release of Sheikh Amin Jum'an. A statement released during the protest emphasized that a fair, impartial, and transparent judiciary is the optimal and sole path for resolving rights disputes, distinct from arbitrary detention methods outside legal frameworks.

Participants concluded their demonstration by affirming their commitment to continuing peaceful and legal actions until their legitimate demands are met, Sheikh Jum'an's fate is revealed, and he is released to his family and tribe.
