Dar Saad police in Aden, the interim capital, announced on Friday that two soldiers were injured during the apprehension of an outlawed armed group following a precision security operation. The operation was conducted by patrols during surprise inspection campaigns in several areas of the district.

The Director of Dar Saad Police, Colonel Musleh Al-Dharhani, stated that the operation was initiated after the operations room received a report of suspicious movement by an armed group. Patrols immediately began investigations and surveillance, managing to spot a grey Sonata vehicle carrying four armed individuals. He added that as officers attempted to stop the car, the group opened fire on the police personnel, resulting in injuries to two Dar Saad police officers who were subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment.

Al-Dharhani confirmed that security forces responded decisively, successfully subduing the armed elements and apprehending the four suspects. Authorities also discovered a weapon, a hand grenade, and three strips of "BJBJ" narcotic pills in their possession.

The suspects and seized items have been secured, and an investigation has been launched into the incident. The case will be referred to the competent authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures.

The Dar Saad police reiterated their commitment to continuing security campaigns to pursue elements operating outside the law and to enhance security and stability throughout the district.
