A man has died from gunshot wounds in Yemen's Dhamar province after his ambulance was allegedly delayed by Houthi militia forces at a checkpoint, preventing timely medical treatment. Local sources reported that Mohammed Saeed Al-Madhab, 32, was injured during a tribal clash in the Al-Hada district. He was urgently transported by ambulance to a medical facility. However, a Houthi security checkpoint in the Qaa' Saheed area reportedly halted the ambulance for approximately 30 minutes, despite pleas from those accompanying the injured man regarding his critical condition. Following the delay, the ambulance was permitted to proceed. Tragically, Al-Madhab's condition deteriorated during the detention at the checkpoint, and he passed away before reaching the hospital, according to the sources. Tribes in the Al-Hada district have condemned the incident, labeling it a "grave violation." They hold those responsible for obstructing the ambulance's passage accountable and have called for an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding the event. |
