Government Forces Repel Houthi Attack on Hays Front South of Hodeidah

Government forces successfully thwarted an attempted offensive launched by Houthi militants against their positions on the Hays front, located in the southern sector of Yemen's western Hodeidah Governorate, late last night.

Media outlets associated with the Al-Zariq Brigades, which operate under the umbrella of the Joint Forces on the West Coast, confirmed that the positions belonging to the First and Second Brigades within their command were targeted by the Houthi militia.

The report detailed that the troops of both brigades managed to decisively repel the assault, forcing the attacking elements into a retreat following intense clashes that involved the use of various types of weaponry.

This attempted breach is characterized as part of a continuous series of violations repeatedly perpetrated by the Houthi militia across the western Tihamah coastal fronts. The Al-Zariq Brigades affirmed their sustained commitment to countering these aggressions, defending their established positions, and safeguarding civilian populations within the liberated areas.
