The Houthi militia has deployed significant military reinforcements to the city of Radaa in Al-Bayda Governorate, central Yemen, coinciding with escalating local demands for justice regarding victims of alleged murders and arbitrary detentions.

Tribal sources indicated that the militia established a wide security perimeter, utilizing armored vehicles and troop carriers near the "Al-Akhawain Station" and city entry points, explicitly aiming to thwart a planned peaceful protest rally scheduled for Tuesday following the expiration of a two-day ultimatum set by local tribes.

This military mobilization was synchronized with political maneuvers led by Houthi official Saleh Nasser Al-Jufri, the appointed Deputy Governor. Al-Jufri reportedly attempted to persuade tribal elders from Radaa and Qaifa, as well as residents of the "Al-Hafra neighborhood," to postpone popular escalation. The core demands from the affected parties center on the handover of Houthi leaders and elements implicated in the liquidation of Sheikh Hassan Al-Halimi and his son, as well as the citizen Alawi Sukran, to the judiciary for execution of due retribution. In a maneuver to undermine the tribal movement, Houthi elements disseminated a forged statement via social media, falsely attributed to Radaa's elders and dignitaries, which characterized the planned protests as an "attempt to destabilize security and disturb public tranquility." This claim was categorically refuted. Abu Ahmed Al-Yemeni, one of Radaa's recognized tribal leaders, revealed on Facebook that individuals exploited signatures obtained from elders on a blank sheet—originally intended for recording attendance at a previous meeting—to fabricate the misleading statement without their knowledge, clearly indicating an effort to manipulate tribal sentiment to serve the Houthi leadership's agenda.

The Houthi militia has a documented history of fabricating official narratives and broadcasting coerced statements from local figures through its affiliated "Security Media" outlets. This tactic was previously observed following the killing of the young man Abdullah Hassan Al-Halimi approximately one month ago, when the militia falsely portrayed him as a "gang leader" attempting to force merchants into a solidarity strike. Merchants later recorded video testimonies refuting these allegations.

A broad consultative meeting was held late Tuesday at the residence of Sheikh Ahmed Hussein Al-Jufri in Radaa to discuss the militia's response to the legitimate demands. Tribal warnings were issued that continued disregard for these grievances could lead to broader escalatory measures.
