Militiamen affiliated with the Houthi militia stormed a house in the central Yemeni province of Ibb, looting its contents following the shooting and injury of the homeowner, amidst escalating security chaos in the area controlled by the group.

Local sources indicated that the incident originated from a financial dispute between two maternal half-brothers, identified as Mu'adh Al-Mansoub and Ali Danan, in Al-Jabbana village within the Sahool district of Al-Makhader Directorate. The sources specified that one party reportedly resorted to the local police station, where he allegedly paid bribes to the station chief, known as "Abu Hamza Al-Hamza," to leverage armed men against his brother.

According to eyewitnesses and activists, the police chief dispatched armed personnel to the residence of the opposing party. Upon arrival, the homeowner demanded that the gunmen present a formal, legal warrant to appear before the relevant authorities. Instead, the armed men immediately opened fire with live ammunition inside the house, resulting in the owner sustaining minor injuries.

Following the assault, the gunmen proceeded to raid the property, looting its possessions and contents before withdrawing from the scene. Social media activists circulated video footage documenting the moment the armed men attacked and fired heavily at the house, causing panic among women and children.

The incident drew widespread condemnation from local residents who decried the transformation of security apparatuses into instruments for settling personal scores in exchange for financial gain. This act of aggression is situated within a context of continuous violations perpetrated by armed elements and security leaders affiliated with the Houthis in Ibb province, which is currently experiencing unprecedented security disintegration and an increase in the rate of crimes and assaults against citizens' properties.
