USS Georgia Strikes Facility in Hodeidah

Reports said the USS Georgia, an Ohio-class submarine, conducted operations in Yemen on Friday, September 4, targeting Houthi military facilities. Earlier, Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin acknowledged that orders had been given for the submarine's deployment to the Middle East.

A video has surfaced online of a Tomahawk cruise missile damaging infrastructure. The video's source said that the incident occurred in the heart of Hodeidah, a Houthi stronghold.

On September 10, US Secretary of Defence  announced the deployment of the USS Georgia submarine to the Middle East, with the goal of strengthening the US military presence in the region.
