The resistance forces in Sabr, southeastern Taiz province, successfully repelled a multi-pronged Houthi assault on Tuesday, foiling attempts by the militia to advance in key areas amidst ongoing military reinforcements. Fierce clashes erupted on the fronts of Sabr Al-Madaam and Al-Masrakh.

Sources on the ground reported that resistance fighters thwarted a significant Houthi offensive targeting the positions in Dhahi Al-Kahlān, Al-Najādah, Al-Awāt, and Anbiyān. The attack, which involved coordinated advances from four directions and received artillery and fire support, aimed to seize control of Dhahi mountain summit and the village of Al-Kahlān.

This offensive followed two days of Houthi military mobilization and troop movements, including the arrival of reinforcements and attempted infiltrations originating from villages under militia control. Resistance fighters, having monitored these preparations, were ready to counter the attack, leading to intense engagements that ultimately forced the Houthi forces to retreat, reportedly suffering casualties and material losses.

In the Al-'Aqīmāt and Al-Najādah fronts, fighting resumed after a brief period of tense calm. These clashes coincided with continued Houthi troop build-ups in areas like Al-Khalaakhel, Khurayshah, and Al-Akamah, indicating an effort to pressure resistance positions and secure control of the Al-Najādah region.

The escalation also resulted in civilian casualties due to Houthi shelling and sniping. Reports indicate the death of an 18-year-old woman and injuries to several children, in addition to the death of civilian Mohammed Mahyoub. The wives of Nader Abdul Samad Al-Sharihi and Riyad Al-Sharihi were also reportedly targeted by snipers, with difficulties in transporting them to medical facilities.

Efforts by women from Al-Akamah village to mediate and halt the sniping to facilitate the evacuation of the injured were unsuccessful. The situation remains tense, with ongoing concerns for the safety of residents, particularly given familial ties between the communities of Al-Akamah and Al-'Aqīmāt.

Further military movements by Houthi forces were observed in the Khurayshah and Al-Akamah areas, including the arrival of two armored vehicles. The destination of other reinforcements sent to Al-Akamah remains unclear, with ongoing group military movements in the vicinity. Residents have also reported the presence of Houthi elements in Al-Najādah, while the resistance continues to monitor movements and track infiltration attempts.

Simultaneously, clashes occurred on the Anbiyān front as the Houthis attempted to pressure resistance positions and secure routes towards Mashra'ah and Hudnan, in coordination with activities related to the Al-Sarrar front. Resistance fighters successfully defended their positions against these attempts.

Sources indicate a state of high alert persists on the Sabr front due to the continuous flow of Houthi reinforcements and the diversification of their operational axes, suggesting the possibility of renewed engagements in the coming hours.
