Government Forces Advance in Taiz Front, Seizing Key Positions

Government forces have achieved significant battlefield advancements in the Hifan front, south of Taiz Governorate, after capturing several strategic positions during ongoing clashes with Houthi militias.

A military source confirmed that the forces, specifically the Fourth Hazm Brigade, successfully secured the "Al-Wuthra" and "Saeed Taha" hills in the Al-Mafalis area. Additionally, the "Dhiban," "Al-Khudaira," and "Al-Najdain" hills were brought under government control.

The source indicated that the Houthi militia sustained considerable human and material losses during the engagements, with some of their elements reportedly fleeing the conflict zones.

The newly captured positions are of considerable military importance, offering oversight of the Al-Khazja market and controlling Houthi supply lines that extend towards various fronts in northwestern Lahj Governorate and southern Taiz.
