Saudi National Killed, Others Injured in Yemen Border Crossing Shooting

A Saudi national was killed and several others were injured when a Yemeni gunman opened fire at the Al-Wadiah border crossing in Hadhramaut Governorate.

According to a security source, the assailant fled the scene following the attack, heading towards the Hadhramaut desert. Search operations are currently underway to apprehend the suspect.

The Al-Wadiah crossing has remained closed since dawn today in the wake of the incident. Security authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The incident occurred amidst ongoing security concerns in the region. Separate reports indicate that Houthi attacks on the ports of Mokha and Bab al-Mandab threaten food security and are contributing to rising prices. Additionally, the Al-Masam project has cleared 555 mines and shells in the Al-Mahra Governorate, while a Yemeni resistance military report detailed an Iranian shipment to the Houthis containing technology for guiding explosive boats in the Red Sea.
