The city of Mokha, situated on the Red Sea coast, stands as a vital link for Yemen, connecting a rich history with an unwavering future. Currently, this historic city and its people are enduring a fierce conflict, with joint forces and the National Resistance engaged in a significant battle against the Houthi militia. This struggle highlights a true national epic, where valiant fighters defend the Republic and its enduring identity against the Houthi's persistent targeting of vital infrastructure, ports, and residential areas with ballistic missiles and explosive drones.

The systematic targeting of Mokha and its historic port is not merely a military assault; it represents a desperate attempt to cripple the economic and humanitarian lifeline of the West Coast and to defy all aspirations for stability. In the face of this Houthi aggression, the fronts in Al-Buraah, Hays, and Al-Waz'iyah stand firm like immovable rocks against the illusions of theocratic rule. Here, the heroes of the National Resistance, supported by the tribal and popular solidarity of the West Coast's inhabitants, are achieving exceptional feats, delivering harsh lessons to the militia on the fields of honor and effectively thwarting infiltration attempts with high combat efficiency and self-defense capabilities that have shattered the mirages of drone and missile attacks.

However, this legendary valor on the ground raises pressing and legitimate questions about the nature of the political and military management of the conflict. The Presidential Leadership Council and the legitimate government appear to be managing the crisis from a distance, relying excessively on diplomatic statements and United Nations complaints that have failed to provide sustenance or security. The continued adherence to a passive defense strategy, and the reluctance to make a decisive move toward coordinated, large-scale preemptive strikes to eradicate the Houthi missile and drone systems at their source, grants the militia a free opportunity to reposition and enhance its offensive capabilities, trapping the joint forces in a defensive posture rather than an offensive one.

Similarly, the regional and international stance appears weak, trapped in a policy of soft containment and conflict management rather than resolution. The reliance on pale condemnatory statements and verbal warnings that dissipate with the first Houthi shell reflects a complete disconnect from reality and an inability to comprehend the nature of this dynastic militia, which understands only destruction. The absence of genuine international will to cut off supply lines and destroy the militia's military and qualitative capabilities puts the credibility of the international community to the test, rendering international maritime protection conventions mere ink on paper, which only encourages the aggressor to persist in their arrogance.

Today, Mokha, through the resilience of its people, the valor of its fighters, and the wisdom of its leaders on the ground, proves to the world that it is the unyielding guardian of the Red Sea gateway. Yet, this steadfastness should not serve as a cover for political inaction or a justification for international apathy. The battle will not be decided in faltering diplomatic corridors but will be forged by the hands of the free, who understand the language of decisive deterrence and recognize that the dust of the trenches tells truer stories than the speeches delivered in hotels.
