Shabwah Defense Forces Strike Houthi Positions in Harib-Ain Front

Shabwah Defense Forces announced on Monday the execution of a military operation targeting Houthi militia positions and gatherings in the Harib-Ain front, as part of an operation dubbed "Shabwah Arrows." The forces reported the use of artillery and drones during the offensive.

In a statement, the forces indicated that the operation inflicted human and material losses on the Houthi militia ranks, without providing specific details or figures regarding the extent of these losses.

According to the statement, the operation was a response to drone attacks carried out by the Houthi militia that targeted military positions belonging to the Third Brigade in the Harib-Ain front. The Houthi attacks resulted in the martyrdom of Jihad Fikri Mohammed Jameh and Mohammed Najib Muqbil Ali Abdullah, members of the Third Brigade, and wounded several soldiers with varying degrees of injury.

Shabwah Defense Forces mourned the two soldiers, extending condolences to their families and comrades. The forces affirmed their continued commitment to their military duties and to repelling attacks targeting their positions in the governorate.

The forces emphasized that the security of Shabwah Governorate is a priority and vowed to respond to any escalation or attacks targeting their positions or areas within the governorate, citing "military necessity."

These developments occur amidst ongoing military tensions on several fronts within and surrounding Shabwah Governorate, characterized by reciprocal escalations between government forces and their allied forces on one side, and the Houthi militia on the other.
