An elderly woman was killed on Monday morning by an explosive device planted by Houthi militants in the Al-Shaqab area of Taiz Governorate, southwestern Yemen. Local sources reported that Qabool Saeed Mohammed Aqlan, 65, died instantly when the device detonated as she was inspecting her home in the area. The Al-Shaqab region has witnessed dozens of casualties in recent years due to mines and explosive devices planted by the Houthi militia, which continue to pose a persistent threat to civilians in the region. |
