IBB, Yemen — Several Houthi fighters were injured after a failed attempt to launch a ballistic missile in Yemen's central Ibb province, local sources said. The sources said the missile launch operation failed at a Houthi-controlled site in Dhi Al-Sufal district, causing the impact of the failed operation to hit personnel involved in overseeing the launch. Several fighters were wounded in the incident and were later transferred to Al-Rifai Hospital in Al-Qa'idah city, the sources said. They added that the Houthis imposed a tight security cordon around the site and prevented access to the area following the incident. According to the sources, the group had been attempting to launch the missile as part of its military escalation against targets, but the operation ended unsuccessfully and caused casualties among those involved. |
