Security forces in Taiz Governorate have apprehended and handed over an individual sought in connection with the assassination of Brigadier General Yahya Wa'ish, commander of the First National Resistance Brigade. The handover followed a notification from the Directorate of Police in Hodeidah Governorate. Security media reported that the Hodeidah Police Directorate had issued a notice regarding a suspect wanted for the assassination of Brigadier General Yahya Wa'ish. The police in Taiz Governorate responded to the alert, apprehending the suspect within the governorate's capital before transferring him to the State Security apparatus in Taiz. The Hodeidah Police Director, Brigadier General Najib Warraq, dispatched a representative from the Hodeidah police, accompanied by a representative from Hodeidah State Security, to Taiz to receive the suspect. The individual was then brought to join other suspects apprehended by security agencies in the West Coast region. The operation was reportedly monitored closely by the Director General of Hodeidah Governorate Police, Brigadier General Najib Warraq, and the Commander of the Hodeidah Axis, Brigadier General Zayed Mansar, until the suspect arrived with the Hodeidah police envoy. A source expressed regret regarding information previously issued by the General Directorate of Taiz Governorate Police, describing it as inaccurate. |
