A citizen sustained critical injuries after being assaulted and robbed by Houthi elements in the city of Rada'a, Al Bayda Governorate, which is under the control of the Houthi militia. The incident highlights a significant and alarming rise in crime rates and a pervasive state of security breakdown in the city.

Local sources reported that three Houthi elements intercepted the citizen, identified as Majed Bakari, on the main road near Al Sunnah Mosque and in front of Al Khansaa School in Rada'a. The assailants proceeded to attack him, delivering a treacherous stab wound to his back before firing live ammunition at him directly to prevent any resistance.

The perpetrators subsequently robbed the victim, forcibly taking his money and mobile phone after shooting him, before fleeing the scene. Bakari was transported to a local hospital, where medical staff described his condition as extremely critical.

This heinous crime reflects the alarming security deterioration in Rada'a and across the districts of Al Bayda Governorate since the Houthi militia's takeover. The incident is characterized by a notable escalation in armed robbery, murder, and ambushes against citizens on public streets, with no decisive action taken to deter the perpetrators.
