Seven Houthi militants were killed and others wounded as resistance forces repelled a large-scale assault in the Al-Razzamat area of Saada province. One soldier was martyred and another injured during the engagement. A military source reported that elements of the Al-Razzamat axis successfully thwarted a violent and extensive attack launched by Houthi militias on Thursday evening against an advanced position in the Al-Razzamat mountains. The assault was described as a desperate attempt by the militants to breach and capture the site. The source confirmed that the Houthi militia deployed numerous fighters armed with various weapons, initiating a surprise attack that lasted for hours. Soldiers from the brigade engaged the militants with courage and steadfastness despite the intensity of the gunfire and the ferocity of the assault. During the confrontation, one member of the brigade was martyred and another soldier was wounded while defending against the Houthi advance. The forces stationed at the location held their ground until military reinforcements arrived. These reinforcements participated in a broad counter-attack that ultimately led to the complete clearing and securing of the site. The military source further stated that during the operation, the axis forces killed seven Houthi militants and injured several others. The remaining militants fled under the pressure of the axis forces, who continued to pursue them to the outskirts of the positions from which the attack originated. Following the successful repulsion of the attack, the axis forces advanced to clear and secure several enemy trenches and positions that had been used for firing, thereby enhancing and fully securing their lines. |
