Second Military Region Urges Adherence to Safety Protocols Amid Severe Weather

The Second Military Region issued an urgent directive on Wednesday, calling upon all citizens and residents to strictly adhere to safety procedures in light of the severe weather conditions currently affecting several districts of Hadhramaut Governorate.

The leadership stated that, driven by a national responsibility to enhance security, stability, and safeguard public and private property, it is closely monitoring the developments of the current weather system. This system is characterized by heavy to torrential rainfall, which risks triggering flash floods and significant water level rises in valleys and public thoroughfares.

The command appealed to all individuals to comply fully with the guidelines and instructions issued by the competent authorities. Specifically, citizens are warned to avoid approaching flood channels or attempting to cross submerged roadways under any circumstances due to the grave risks posed to life and property.

Furthermore, the leadership emphasized the critical importance of not parking or abandoning vehicles within flood paths or low-lying areas. Such actions not only create direct hazards but also obstruct water flow, potentially subjecting violators to legal accountability.

The Second Military Region reaffirmed its complete readiness to manage various emergency situations, urging collective responsibility and cooperation with relevant agencies to bolster overall public safety and mitigate potential dangers.
