Two Government Soldiers Killed in Houthi Attack on North Lahij Front

Two soldiers from the government forces were killed and several others injured late Tuesday following an assault launched by the Houthi militia on military positions in the Karash front, north of Lahij Governorate.

A military source confirmed that the Houthi militia executed an attack targeting several sites within the Al-Markham and Al-Mughatrab sectors in an attempt to achieve ground advances, which immediately triggered intense confrontations between the two parties.

The source detailed that the clashes involved the utilization of various types of light and medium weaponry before government forces successfully repelled the offensive, forcing the militia to withdraw.

According to the source, the engagement resulted in the death of two soldiers and injuries to others within the government ranks, while the Houthi militia sustained undetermined losses in both personnel and equipment.

It was further noted that the two deceased soldiers were identified as Nasser Najib Al-Subaihi and Mohammed Yasser Al-Subaihi, who were cousins.
