Houthi Militia Abducts Brigadier General Hassan Al-Balili After Storming Home in Sana'a

Local sources in Sana'a reported on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, that Houthi militia forces stormed a residence on Al-Mahruqat Street in central Sana'a and subsequently abducted Brigadier General Hassan Al-Balili.

The sources indicated that security and intelligence elements affiliated with the Houthi militia were responsible for the kidnapping of Brigadier General Al-Balili, who previously served as the Director of Transport at the Yemeni Economic Corporation.

The operation reportedly involved a significant security contingent, comprising five armored vehicles, seven security trucks, and four buses carrying female elements from the Zainabiyyat battalions.

Houthi operatives reportedly surrounded and forcibly entered Brigadier General Al-Balili's home, located behind Al-Mawaddah Hospital on Al-Mahruqat Street, before forcibly moving him to an undisclosed location.
