The coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen has conducted a qualitative military operation targeting sources of threat belonging to the Houthi terrorist militia, in exercise of the legitimate right to self-defense to protect Saudi Arabian territory, its citizens, and residents. This action is a direct response to repeated attempts to target civilians and civilian objects using ballistic missiles and drones. Brigadier General Turki Al-Malki, the official spokesperson for the coalition forces, stated that the military operation precisely achieved its objectives. These included the destruction of five tunnels designated for storing ballistic missiles, four launch platforms, and a weapons depot. The operations also focused on disrupting the militia's logistical supply lines between their controlled areas and targeting Houthi fortifications, concentrations of their elements, and military equipment along the lines of engagement within Yemeni territory. The official spokesperson affirmed that the Joint Forces Command of the coalition will continue to take all necessary deterrent operational measures against the Houthi militia to ensure the protection of civilians in the Kingdom from brutal attacks and to shield innocent people within Yemen from the militia's oppressive practices and continuous transgressions. Brigadier General Al-Malki concluded his statement by emphasizing that all military operations conducted by the coalition adhere to international humanitarian law and its customary rules, with full commitment to the regulations for protecting civilians and keeping civilian objects separate from military conflicts. |
