Militia forces launched a missile attack on a mosque and a school in the village of Al-Najd, Al-Mashra'a Wa Haddnan district, Taiz Governorate, on Thursday evening. Local and human rights sources informed "خبر" agency that the attack targeted two civilian facilities in the district, located in the Taiz countryside. This incident represents the latest escalation in the governorate, which has seen recurring attacks on residential areas and civilian infrastructure. The assault occurred just hours after a report by the Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms, which documented 95 crimes and violations attributed to Houthi forces in Taiz Governorate within the preceding 24 hours. The report also indicated the launch of approximately 218 projectiles at residential areas. The Network further stated that these violations coincide with the ongoing siege and restrictions imposed on the movement of residents and the delivery of essential supplies, exacerbating the suffering of civilians in the governorate. Taiz has been experiencing continuous military escalation since last August, marked by an intensification of Houthi attacks on residential areas and public and private properties.
