The Houthi militia launched a renewed attack on the port of Mokha in Taiz province on Sunday evening, utilizing drones and ballistic missiles, according to the Joint Forces in the West Coast. Brigadier General Wadah Al-Debesh, spokesperson for the Joint Forces, stated that air defense units and the counter-terrorism battalion successfully intercepted approximately six Houthi drones. Two ballistic missiles fired by the militia reportedly landed in the Red Sea without hitting their targets. Al-Debesh indicated that air defense and anti-ground units responded to the attack with high efficiency and vigilance. Preliminary field information suggests that the targeted objects did not manage to strike any locations within the port of Mokha or residential areas of the city. He urged citizens in Mokha city to remain in their homes, stay away from windows, balconies, open spaces, and glass facades. Residents were also advised against gathering or venturing out to observe interception operations, with a warning against approaching any debris or fragments that might fall as a result of the defensive actions. Al-Debesh affirmed that the leadership and Joint Forces continue their mission to protect the city and civilian installations, emphasizing the importance of citizens adhering to safety instructions and refraining from spreading rumors or unconfirmed information.
