Marib Power Stations Halt Service Following Fuel Depletion Amid Refinery Issue

The General Electricity Corporation in Marib Governorate announced on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, that power generation stations in several areas have ceased operation due to a critical depletion of fuel reserves.

The corporation detailed that the interruption stems from a technical malfunction reported by the Yemen Oil Company branch in Marib concerning the oil refinery in Safir. This technical failure has prevented the refueling of power stations situated in the Al-Damashqa area and the Hurayb district, inevitably leading to the cessation of electricity services in those locations once current fuel supplies are exhausted.

Consequently, the utility issued this formal notification to clarify the situation and inform the esteemed subscribers in the aforementioned regions about the impending service disruption.
