Two individuals have been killed in tribal clashes stemming from a dispute over agricultural land between two tribes in the Khiwan area of Huth District, northern Amran province, Yemen.

Local sources reported that armed confrontations erupted on Wednesday between the "Dhu Jantar" family of the "Dhu Aliyan" tribe and the "Dhu Al-Ziyadi" from the "Al-Mu'amirah" tribe in the Khiwan region. The conflict centered on agricultural land and water channels.

The sources specified that the confrontations resulted in the deaths of Dhiab bin Yahya Al-Ziyadi and one of his relatives, identified as Mohammed Ali Al-Subai'i.

The situation remains tense in the area, with expectations of renewed confrontations as both sides continue to mobilize. There has been no intervention from the relevant authorities of the militia, which is accused of inciting discord, fueling tribal conflicts, and exploiting them for its own interests.

Amran province, under the control of the Houthi militia, is experiencing an escalation in local conflicts related to land and revenge issues. In recent weeks and months, dozens have been killed or injured in similar incidents.
