Yemeni Forces Kill Over 25 Houthi Militants, Destroy Vehicle in Taiz Offensive

Government forces, supported by popular resistance, repelled a Houthi militia attack in the Al-Shaqab front in southern Taiz province on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of over 25 militants and the destruction of a military vehicle. The operation also included drone strikes on Houthi positions and the downing of an explosive drone.

A military source reported that the government forces successfully thwarted the Houthi offensive, inflicting significant casualties, with more than 25 attackers killed and several others wounded. Additionally, a military vehicle equipped with a 23mm cannon was destroyed during the engagement.

The source further stated that the government forces conducted counter-offensives concurrently, utilizing drones to target Houthi militia positions in the Al-Shaqab front. In a separate development, forces successfully intercepted and downed an explosive drone belonging to the militia over the Al-Arous area.
