Houthi Militia Fortifies Front Lines in Lahj and Dhale Provinces

The Houthi militia has begun establishing new trenches and military fortifications in areas under its control along the lines of contact in the provinces of Lahj and Dhale. This development coincides with increased field movements and heightened tensions in regions bordering government forces.

Field sources reported that Houthi elements have commenced digging trenches and constructing fortified positions in the Shwakan and Baher mountains near the Qareen Al-Musaymir front in Lahj Governorate. Similar activities are reportedly underway in the Torasah area of Al-Azariq district in Dhale Governorate.

The sources further indicated that these fortification efforts have been accompanied by movements of Houthi personnel and military vehicles within positions spread across both fronts.

These new fortifications are speculated by sources to be part of defensive measures aimed at protecting personnel and military equipment from aerial strikes and drone attacks, particularly given the ongoing tensions along the engagement lines.

The fronts in Lahj and Dhale are currently experiencing a fragile calm, punctuated by exchanges of shelling and military maneuvers, while the Houthi militia continues to reinforce its positions in mountainous areas overlooking the confrontation lines.
