Yemeni Forces Down Three Houthi Drones in 'Dawn of Yemen' Operation

Government forces successfully intercepted and downed three Houthi drones across three Yemeni governorates on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, as part of the ongoing 'Dawn of Yemen' military operation.

Field sources confirmed that elements of the 12th Infantry Brigade were responsible for bringing down one drone in the Al-Juba front, northwest of Al Dhale'e Governorate.

In a related development, the 'Shield of the Homeland' forces, specifically the 3rd Division, announced the downing of a Houthi drone in Al Jawf Governorate.

Additional reports from field sources indicated that air defense units of the 7th Military Region within the Armed Forces successfully neutralized a winged drone belonging to the Houthi militia in the Ragwan front, Marib Governorate, while it was operating within the area's airspace.

These interceptions are occurring prior to the drones achieving their objectives, highlighting the effectiveness of the government forces' military operations under the 'Dawn of Yemen' campaign.

The Houthi militia, identified as an Iranian proxy in Yemen, utilizes drones for various tactical purposes, including launching attacks, deploying explosives, and conducting reconnaissance missions, often in preparation for ballistic missile launches that frequently result in civilian casualties.
