UK Condemns Houthi Escalation in Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Pledges Support

The United Kingdom has strongly condemned the dangerous escalation by the Houthi militia in Yemen and Saudi Arabia, affirming its solidarity with both the Yemeni and Saudi governments against these aggressions.

The British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office stated in a brief release on its official X account that the Houthi militia's violence demonstrates a blatant disregard for the safety and well-being of the Yemeni people.

The ministry affirmed the United Kingdom's unwavering support for the Yemeni and Saudi governments in confronting Houthi attacks. This stance underscores London's rejection of the escalation, which poses a significant threat to the security of Yemen and the broader region.

This condemnation comes amid reports of continued Houthi violations, including child casualties from landmines in Hodeidah and civilian deaths and injuries from shelling in Taiz. Additionally, a Houthi missile reportedly fell in a village in Ibb governorate after a failed launch.

The UK's position highlights its commitment to regional stability and its opposition to actions that undermine peace and security in Yemen and its neighboring countries.
